Adding StarWind to Western Digital Sentinel server

We are looking at buying a Western digital sentinel 8 TB server for backups of our existing shared file systems and was wondering if we could add StarWind to this server. It runs Microsoft Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 Essentials and I can remote desktop into the server, however, the processor and memory are not the greatest. I have read somewhere that I could add more memory to the box if I take it apart, but curious if it is possible to run starwind on top instead of the western digital user interface.

If you are running Windiws there - you can install StarWind on it.

Just make sure two tgings (just to start):
1.That hardware will be enough (you can find information about our System Requirements here). It shouldn`t be to big deal if hardware will be just a little bit weaker.
2.Our SAN solution is using 3260 and 3261 ports by default, so make sure that they`ll be opened or configure SW to work on another ports (change config file and restart the service).

With the most recent WDC update StarWind is now part of a Sentinel firmware:

Congratulations!
