Are there any issues with running sdelete and defrag on virtual disks with image file devices using high availability. The virtual infastructure we are using is VMware ESXi 4.1 with guests running Windows 2003 or 2008. Will both the primary and partner image files be optimized if I run sdelete and defrag?

No, there will be no errors. Either Sdelete as defragmention technically are simple RW operations, so all will be OK.
