During Installation, I receive the following error message:

---------
C:\Program Files\Rocket Division Software\StarWind\StarWindService.exe

An error occurred while trying to replace the existing file:
DeleteFile failed; code 5.
Access is denied.

abort retry ignore

---------

Any idea of the reason for this?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Mark,

looks like you have an old StarWindService.exe already installed and running in that moment.
It's better to uninstall the old package before starting of a new installation.

Or you can usethe following command in the Command Prompt to stop the service:

Code: Select all

net stop StarWindService
and try to install again.

Mark,

did it (software installer) tell you something went wrong? Or was it just your guess (not working?) :)

Thanks!

Mark,

OK. We'll add some kind of check into installation so it would ask to uninstall prev. version :)

Thanks!

Actually the reason if this was a broken installation script. It is fixed now and will be available in the next release. Thank you for pointing to the problem. :)
