Hi,

I have the following problem I need to create a software SAN to enable VMware HA and other functionality but I don't have capacity in the rack for another server to install the SAN software on, can I install it as a VM, additionally could the software be configured to replicated from one ESX box to another?

Regards,

Yes, you can run StarWind inside virtual machine. And yes, you can replicate from one VM to another (actually most of the cases with replication use VM as destination node, maybe 80% of geo-different locations are virtualized).

StarWind is stand-alone application and does not require vCenter.
