Hi,
will I have any problems with .img files made from v.4 if I update to v.5?
Also if changing os from windows x86 to x64? any issues with the .img files?
thanks

I have done the update, and all my image files are working great..
but I have noticed the system is running slower approx 50-60MB/sec slower on a copy.
any ideas for getting the speed back up?

1) Nice to know you've fine with upgrade.

2) Start with checking:

2a. Your network peformance is the same as you had with 32-bit version of the OS. Use NTtcp and IPerf. 1 GbE should go pretty close to 1000 Mb/sec (950-980)

2b. Your local disk subsystem should show the same numbers under both OSes.

2c. Settings for ESX (did they change)?

2d. StarWind performance settings (write-back cache enabled etc).

Let us know about the results and we'll proceed. Thanks!
