esxi 4.0 Starwind iscsi not found

Hi

I have 2 esx servers setup

1 esxi 4.0 host
1 esx 4.0 host

My problem relates to the esxi 4.0 host being unable to find the disk i created using Starwind.
As Esxi 4.0 has no firewall i am unable to activate the iscsi service
Using the vShere client I created VMkernal Port for iSCSI
I added iSCSI Software Storage Adapter, went through Dynamic Discovery Process for iSCSI Initiator Properties, scanned the newly created iSCSI storage adapter, went to storage and add storage, choose disk/lun but nothing is detectd.

On my esx 4.0 every disk i create via Starwind is detected.

Anyone know why this is or can help me resolve this issue
