I have the free StartWind target software loaded on a 32bit W2K3 SP2 Std. server with a 350GB target LUN created. On another 32bit W2K3 SP2 Ent. server I am using version 2.06 of the standart Microsoft iSCSI initiator. I'm trying to copy a folder containing 2 very large Oracle database files to a newly created StarWind iSCSI drive from an EMC NS22 iSCSI drive. These files are 117GB and 127GB respectively in size. Using the XXCOPY command I see that just when around 72GB of data has been transferred the XXCOPY command fails and also fails on the next file. When I try to copy the files using the Windows Explorer GUI it show the progress screen about the same time that the XXCOPY indicates it is copying the file and then give me an error message stating insufficent resources. Where is the problem here? Do I need to upgrade to version 2.08 of the initiator or switch to the StarPort initiator? Is there a buffer setting that needs modified? Please help.
Thank you,
