Hi

just created a 1Tb SAS disk as a bridge device. Looks like everything went smooth. no errors and it looks like available.

on a client server I try to mount to that iScsi device. The device is listed but when I try to mount to it I got an error:
- ms initiator -> service not available
- starpoint ('remote iscsi') -> no description available. an error occured during installation of the device

looks like a problem in the diskbridge device.
using the most recent downloaded and licenced Starwind Server software.
mounting a created imagefile device from\to the same systems seems to work fine.

Hi,

Make sure that the port 3260 (TCP) on the StarWind side is opened in the firewall settings. Also, please add StarWind to the exception list in the firewall.

Thanks.

Hi Robert

Don't think this is causing the issue

As mentioned
mounting a created imagefile device from\to the same systems seems to work fine.
They are using the same ports.

Hello,

Would you mind sending your StarWind log files (C:\Program Files\StarWind Software\StarWind\logs\) to bob.boule@starwindsoftware.com Once I have had a chance to review your logs I should be able to get you back on track!

Thanks,

Bob

Hi,

So, I suppose we're all set with this one?

The issue was related to giving a target name to a diskbrodge device.

Thanks
