Hello,
At present, I have several (Windows Server 2003) clients connecting to image-based volumes provided by StarWind version 3.5.4. Clients are connected accross dedicated gigabit Network Adapters and have the TCP optimisations set (Server and Clients).
I have configured a tape-backup unit onto the NAS Server and perform a VSS-based backup on the NAS Server. Intermittantly, a number of the NAS Clients experience NAS drive corruption and require that CHKDSK is run on the local Client.
Is this configuration supported and/or is there a better way to configure StarWind with another type of device?
Alternatively, would upgrading to StarWind version 4.x offer any additional options?
Ideally, we would like to perform agent-less 'remote' backups of the NAS volumes from the NAS Server.
Thank you.
Regards, Paul
