Hello,

I have set the Starwind free version. I used Starport to connect locally and format the 5 gig drive for my tests. However, from a remote Windows machine (And using ESX) I am unable to attach to the iSCSI image file I created.

I also tried *****, a similar product with the same results, so obviously I am doing something wrong. Locally, both target show up using StarPort.

The MS iSCSI initiator fails locally and remotely.

What might I be doing wrong?

Thanks!

Check firewall settings. I can guess you have iSCSI ports (3260 and 3261) blocked.

This is on a Windows 2003 datacenter install with no firewalls active. All ports are open and there are no third party AV/Firewall products installed.

Please send us up-to-the-date StarWind log.
