Hi folks

We downloaded yesterday both starport and starwind and installed them with the licenses you supplied to us.

We created a .img 18 Gb image file and mounted it correctly in 1 PC.

However, if we try to mount in another PC another we get the message:
"creation of the iscsi device failed with all the addresses supplied by the server"

We also tried with microsoft´s iscsi software to no avail

We never had those problems and we wonder if it´s the new versions?

thanks!

apparently it´s because of a maximum connection limit problem? that´s weird considering we never had that problem before with our license (professional). is it possible that when we updated that license was no longer valid?

Anyways, here´s the license data from the help section:
The following connections are present:

StarWind iSCSI Target v3.5.3 (Build 20080229, Win32)
Active license count: Unlimited

Did you create device with "clustering" option enabled? I mean with 1+ concurrent connection to it allowed? Please send both .cfg and log files to us (via e-mail, they are get truncated in forum). Thanks!

actually that might be the problem, as we were having corruption problems with all the images we created (and despite dataplow´s best efforts!) we may have decided not to allow clustering

if that was the case, can that be changed, or we´d have to create the image all over again?

thanks!

You cannot access the same target with 1+ initiator at the same time. We're trying to prevent you from crushing the volume.

No, just edit StarWind.cfg setting "Clustered=Yes" for the particular volume.

Actually I can access the volume with a certain degree of security it from geting corrupted as long as I do it from just ONE initiator

However, if I try a 2nd initiator it says "The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable."

So, only the FIRST initiator gets a readable volume: the SECOND ALWAYS gets garbage.

Is it supposed to work that way, are pushing it too far, or there´s something wrong with the hardware/software?

Thanks folks: you are very supportive :)

Yes it's supposed to work this way. Bug Redmond guys with the NTFS clusterization update.
