I heard that there's kind of target with hidden name.

so client initiator can not get the hidden target's name from a list

and client need to provide the whole target name to connect to a hidden target

is this possible ?

other question:
can client computers connect server automatically to a target with target name equal to computername?

Microsoft iSCSI Initiator version 2.0 Build 1653

The target name is not found or is marked as hidden from login.

Hello,

There is LUN masking.
This will be implemented in 3.5.1 StarWind version.
With LUN masking you will be able to set access rights and policies for initiators. Using LUN masking you can make targets hidden to the certain initiator.
