StarWind iSCSI Mirror Caching Options

Hi, I'm evaluating StarWind. Could someone explain a bit the caching options when setting up a iSCSI mirror? Specifically, what "cache size in MBs" and "Cache block expiry period in ms" - They seem fairly self-explanatory, but how do the two options work together? Thanks!! --Bill

Hello,
Cache size in MBs - is the total amount of memory to be used for caching.
Cache block expiry period in ms - is the value that shows how long the recently changed block can be stored in cache. This value decreases from "Cache block expiry period in ms that you have entered" to zero and then block is written to the hard disk by the lazy-writer. If the block continuously changes caching improves the performance because the number of write operations to the slow hdd decreases.
The less "Cache block expiry period in ms" value, the more reliability.
The more "Cache block expiry period in ms" value, the better performance.
