LSFS is RoW (Redirect-on-Write) from the very beginning. Enable user snapshots and discard writes you don't want to have (rollback to some known recovery point on demand).

Oh, so these are actually "writable snapshots using one basic golden image". That's on the way (we need this functionality for VMware SRA/SRM implementation) but we're not done with it yet
Sorry about that! Good news: as it's SRA/SRM dependent we've raised the priority quite a lot

That is good news. The "ROW with discard" mode from V6 is EXTREMELY useful in Internet cafe, kiosk, and cluster computing scenarios.

Understand #IC and #K but why "cluster computing scenarios" is here?

It's a heck of a lot easier to deploy compute nodes with identical software configurations if all of them boot directly from a common image. I think there are more large data processing scenarios that can use this method of operation than you may realize.

I'm digging this up...again...to see if anyone at Starwind is actually trying to implement this. I've been told "soon" for literally years now, yet I'm not seeing it. If you're not going to add it, that's fine, but at least have the decency to state that.
