Hi there,

I´m currently trying to create a StarWind vSAN Storage pool in a two Node VMware Cluster.

I set up the two StarWind Appliances as described here . I also set the two NVME disks to passthrough in ESX and mounted them as PCI-E Device. In the disk overview the two disks are shown correctly.

When I try to create a storage pool, I get the error message, that the disks has a different media or bus type, size or are attached to a different storage controller.

I doesn´t matter which disk I select "first". The error message appears everytime when I try to select the second disk.

Is there any way to fix that?

Thanks!
Marco

Get this fixed by myself.

Passthrough the NVME didn´t work. I created a raw mounting in ESX. This worked.

Thanks for your update. You can create a pool for each node, i.e., remove them from the appliances and join at the next step.
Could you please also share the CVM version?
