Hi everyone,
I’m setting up StarWind Virtual SAN on a Proxmox VE environment and plan to heavily use snapshots for testing VMs. I want to understand the best practices to manage snapshots with StarWind VSAN. Specifically:

- Are there any known limitations or performance impacts when using frequent snapshots on a StarWind VSAN volume in Proxmox?
- What is the recommended approach for cleaning up old snapshots to avoid storage bloat?
- Any tips to monitor snapshot-related performance issues effectively?

I haven’t seen detailed guidance on this on the forum, so I’d love to hear your experiences.
Thanks!

Welcome to StarWind Forum!
I'd suggest checking on it with Proxmox forum because snapshots are a part of Proxmox, not VSAN. If you plan for Proxmox 9, you need to check LVM Thick (LVM) shared storage.
