issue connecting to host

I am running starwind VHCA on a two node proxmox cluster, this all was working fine up until yesterday when a network adapter failed in one of my proxmox servers (pv02), even though it failed the vm's were still running there were just no connectivity on the host. I have 2 adapters on each host 1 single port 1g port that is used for mgmt of the proxmox as well as the vca appliance. The other nic is a dual port 10g adapter that was used for the data and replication on the host. I was able to get into the web interface of the appliances because those run off the 1gig interface (in the below it is the 10.35.15 network) and could see that the cluster was out of sync, on proxmox 2 it was showing the storage from the vhca was unavailable but on proxmox1 it was still showing available. So i shutdown the proxmox2 eventually replaced the nic and then noticed on proxmox1 it was showing the disk are offline. I have been trying several things to get this back up at this point i have shutdown the vhca on proxmox2 and is just working on the vhca on proxmox1 which should have been working fine, but I have the issue where the disk in proxmox show offline and look like it is not connecting via iscsi. If I try logging into the vhca on the proxmox host it is showing below and failing to login, which nothing has changed on this host, other then I created a [iface: iscsi-eth1] to see if that would work but it stopped working prior to that.

Any idea how I get these back connected? Also in the vhca 01 is listed as priority 1 and I have not rebooted or done anything to vhca01.

Hi,
Proxmox2 was out of sync, this is expected because of node priority when th eplication link fails viewtopic.php?t=5731.
What you can do is try re-discovering the storage over iSCSI in both proxmox hosts using iscsiadm discovery and login commands from the guide https://www.starwindsoftware.com/resour ... ng-web-ui/.
Also, please install windows-based console (starwindsoftware.com/tmplink/starwind-v8.exe), connect to both CVMs and see if any device is synchronized.
If none synchronized, try marking 01 as synchronized (follow this guide https://knowledgebase.starwindsoftware. ... -blackout/ and use this method viewtopic.php?f=5&t=7257&p=40082&hilit=Uncomment#p40082).
Try also pinging the IPs inside the VM.

Thanks for the response, I have tried the discovery and have been able to discover the nodes running the discover but still unable to connect when trying to login. None of the devices were in sync, even when I had both up and the sync and data paths reconnected so that is why i just shutdown vhca2 to see if I can get connect to that host. I do have the windows management software installed and this is what the logs show from the single node that is currently up and running. If I power back up the other node how can I have it start replicating or force it I have not been able to do that which is why I shut it down.

would upload log file but don't see where and i noticed node2 log files is 23m versus node 1 which is 131k.

Check sync status. It looks like none of them is synchronized.
Please check it, and mark as synchronized if needed.

I tried that against the primary first and got the below error. How can I shutdown one node and get it running so i can connect to it via my Iscsi clients, that is the main thing I am trying to do? I can always look at just killing one and then rebuilding it, but I need to get to the disk that were on the cluster.

I see on node 1 it talking about a CFileBrowser can't be found in the logs but not in node 2, could that be a problem on node1?

Did you have a chance to edit that script?
No need to rebuild anything. Just trigger full sync.
You can stop one cvm, run the script for the remaining one ans check data. As mentioned in the article, your pricedure should be stop one cvm > run script adjusted the way I described >check console to se if the right nodr is synchronized >rescan storage by running iscsiadm login > check vm data. If all good, start the node you stopped.

I have followed that step, shutdown node2, uncomment the section of the script as stated, but I still get an error when running the script and the system shows not synced.
