You can request the testing (e.g., Trial license) from the person who sent you the Free one (yes, that's a real person ).
You could refer to this guide, but it is only for CENTOS 7 CVM https://www.starwindsoftware.com/resour ... here-vsan/. With a little rework, it should fit into the UBUNTU-based CVM.

Returning to your question, StarWind VSAN is a hardware-agnostic solution. You can use the NICs you prefer to, provided that your hypervisor is OK with the drivers.
