Hi All, I am wondering if anyone knows if I can use starwinds with the below hardware and if you do or don't recommend. Love to hear about it!

Thank you !

Hello, Support5r. Thank you for your question. Let me give you few bits of advice here.
- So-called "GRID architecture" can be applied here, when StarWind devices are replicated between adjacent nodes.
https://www.starwindsoftware.com/grid-architecture-page
- As I see you have 20TB size NVMe storage. As your data will be replicated, usable capacity will be 10TB. You can create a simple Storage Spaces pool, 5 TB size on each node;
- CPU can be a bottleneck in this configuration, so you can consider upgrading CPU;
- I am not sure if you have enough ports for synchronization and iSCSI connection. You need at least 5 network interfaces on each node - 2 for sync with adjacent nodes, 2 for iSCSI connection and 1 for Management. If you have just 4x 10GbE ports on each host, that is definitely not enough;
- Also, consider using 40GbE 2p NICs on each host for the performance boost, as 10GbE NICs will be a bottleneck with NVMe disks;
I think you will also find this document useful:

Very interesting in regards to the grid architecture, is there an easy way to get some ballpark numbers here on what the starwinds offering would cost?
