Hi,

Is it possible to run both VSAN node + MSSQL cluster node on the same (free) ESXi v6 virtual machine? No ESXi cluster.

Basically, 2 x ESXi physical host server, each has one Windows 2012 R2 virtual machine, on the same Windows 2012 R2 virtual machine both MSSQL 2014 (or 2016) cluster node, plus VSAN is installed.

The two virtual machines (on the different physical servers) make up the 2-node MSSQL cluster, using only 2 Windows 2012 R2 virtual machines.

What would be the system requirement for the virtual machine to accommodate both MSSQL server and VSAN?

Thanks!

Yes, you can. There are no scenario restrictions within current version of StarWind vSAN: you can do whatever you want.
