I configured my iSCSI connections per the instructions on my test 2 node SW-VSAN storage cluster, and I am using 1x 10gbe Direct connect cable (Mellanox Directx-2) for iSCSI. I want to use extra 1gb connections as a "fail over" of sorts, if this is possible. in the MPIO connections I have set (per the instructions) the 127.0.0.1 connection as "Active". To make the 10gbe connection as primary, and 1gb as failover, do I simply switch that connect to "Active" in MPIO configuration and specify the 1gb(s) as failover? if so, what do I set the 127.0.0.1 to? Thanks in advance.

Hello Van Rue,
With 127.0.0.1 connection, you have access to StarWind storage locally, without network card involvment. This connection should work in any case if StarWind device status is Synchronized.
According to KB article https://knowledgebase.starwindsoftware. ... correctly/, with 10 Gbps iSCSI connection, it is recommended to use Round Robin MPIO policy.
In case if you want to have one more redundant iSCSI channel, you can "play" with other MPIO policies, for example Round Robin with Subset.
