I am completely new to this forum and to this product. I actually came across this product on a Microsoft forum where it was mentioned, so here I am

I am not 100% sure that I understand how this product exactly works with hyper-v node and if someone can please shed some light on this, that will be great.
My situation:
I currently have 2 separate Hyper-v Node with NO SAN (No shared storage). Each nodes are running storage spaces and have there own storage in which vms running on Node A use the storage spaces on Node A and vs versa with Node B. Live migration does work between each node but of course when a live migration happens, the storage of that vm gets migrated over as well and depends the size of disk thin vs thick it can take some time to migrate.
I want to cluster these Hyper-v nodes but I need some time of fast shared storage, as its hosting sql and sharepoint. I ideally can just purchase another server (server #3) and have share storage spaces running on that and leverage iSCSI target and make them available to each node but that will require more money and besides these hyper-v server nodes are pretty beefy in regards to specs.
So my question is, how does this Virtual San application work? Do I just install the windows application on Node A and Node B (Server 2012 R2), and merge both storage spaces into one big virtual san and than they get presented to the Node and than be able to enable clustering? Is this what the application does, or is my assumption about this virtual san completely off?

What if Node A goes down which also contains the Virtual San application, would Node B still able to see the shared storage and live migration can still kick off?
Thank you kindly,
