Will work as we don't use Windows Clustering Service and everything (voting, replication, node majority etc) is implemented by StarWind R&D team in-house.
But... 2008 R2 lacks some quite important features (like f.e. loopback TCP acceleration path) and is definitely slower then 2012 R2 so... You'll get nodes with non-symmetric performance
You can do it in the lab for sure but we're not going to support this in production sorry about that
