All features for free = no sales = company is dead = customers are not happy. So you don't really want us releasing critical features free of charge We'll probably play with allowed RAM and flash caches SIZES but keeping them unlimited is not what we'll do.

The last time I tested the software there was no limit to cache. I kept recreating my devices today thinking I was creating them incorrectly because i couldn't get past 512MB in write back cache, even though in the wizard I could set whatever I wished. In my lab I definitely don't need the HA features, just the performance associated with the cache. Hopefully you'll reconsider this option in future releases of the free product. Thanks,

Of course, very understandable. I was just surprised after not using the product for a short while to come back and trying to set my cache at 2048 wasn't working. Unlimited might be unreasonable, but a few GBs would be nice. Take it for what it's worth. Thanks again,

We'll be bringing flash as L2 cache soon to compensate no more unlimited L1 capacity.
