I am trying to create new VMs on my StarWind SAN that are not clustered or part of an .img file but when I do I get the following errors (see attachment). I understand it is a permission issue but I am having issues identifying what and where. I have also posted this on the Microsoft forums but I am just wondering if anyone has encountered this and if so, how it was fixed.

Set Everyone permissions to FULL on vhd file or vhd folder.

Do you hear that sound? The sound of my forehead banging against my desk feeling like an idiot for not doing that first.

Thanks, it worked, sort of. I am getting this error now.

I am not comfortable with "Everyone" having Full Control but I will tinker with it and see where the breaking point is.

Are targets connected successfully to HV host? Can you see them in Disk Manager?
