Hi,
I was using StarPort v.3.6.3 an a Windows 2003 Server and a Thecus N5200 (size 3.8 Tb). It was working very well.
I chose StarPort iSCSI initiator because it can handle partitions size larger than 2Tb and Microsoft iSCSI initiator don't.
I added a new Thecus N7700 (size 8 Tb) and I upgraded StarPort to version v.4.2.
The disks are recognized and mounted well. But when I use the new one Windows freezes.
When I transfert from a local disk to the big partition managed by StarPort v.4.2, the system freeze after a few gigs of transfert.
When I transfert from the big partition managed by StarPort v.4.2 to a local disk, the system becomes non responding butthe transfert occurs and the system is Ok again after the transfert.
When I copy a big file on the big partition managed by StarPort v.4.2, the system freeze after a fews megs of transfert.
The old Thecus N5200 (size 3.8 Tb) seems to work well.
Do you have any limitations with partitions larger than 4 Tb ? Do you have any recomendations about slice size ou block size ?
Thank for your help !
