Just wondering if anyone is using StarPort drivers in a virtualized environment. We have it working, but seem to be hitting some performance limits. We're trying to serve up Windows Media files from a CoRAID using virtualized Win2k3 machines with StarPort. Anyone else doing this or something similar?

Symptoms: Media server stops accepting new connections, but shows no errors in Windows events, server logs, etc. StarPort does not log any errors either.

Any clues would be much appreciated.

Hi,

Does the virtual environment use standard Ethernet frame size (1514 bytes) or it can be tuned to use Jumbo frames?

To get maximum throughput from your Coraid device and keep the client's CPU load low, it's recommended to use Jumbo frames (9014 bytes).
Best regards,
Valeriy
