When I try to share a dvd writer over SPTI and try to connect to the device with either Microsoft iscsi port initiator or Starport
I receive the following error message : "Creation of the iSCSI device failed with all the addresses supplied by the server".

Source and Target pc's are configured with Windows XP SP2 (I followed the document "StarWind iSCSI Target: Sharing Physical CD/DVD/Blu-Ray/HD-DVD Drive over IP Network" for the configuration.

In the starwind event log i see the following error:

8/8 12:21:12.411 14ec SPTI: '\\.\E:': scsiPassThrough failed: The parameter is incorrect. (code: 87).

8/8 12:21:12.411 14ec SPTI: '\\.\E:': IOCTL_SCSI_PASS_THROUGH_DIRECT (before):


Starwind version is 3.5 Trial / Starport version is v3.5

Does anyone have any suggestions ?

Please download latest StarWind build. There was indeed a problem with the SPTI. We've fixed it and published StarWind under the same version (3.5) only build number is different. Thanks and sorry!
