Dear Edwin,
Can you tell me what is the recommended method for a multisite disaster recovery solution in which the two sites are connected through a lets say 10Mbps link.

Thanks,
Maiwand

This will depend on what SQL Server feature you choose to implement. If you choose to implement SQL Server failover clustered instances, storage-level replication like that of StarWind has the asynchronous replication feature. If you choose to implement Availability Groups, that also has the option to use asynchronous replication with the additional benefit of transaction log compression. Whatever solution you choose to implement, make sure that it meets your recovery objectives (RPO/RTO) and service level agreements.

Edwin Sarmiento has shared his blog post "StarWind Software Webinar Follow-up Q and A" http://bit.ly/1btITRs with us.

In the article he focused on the questions raised during the webinar, as well as those submitted through the forum.

In his replies, Edwin covered SQL Server-related questions, where Max dealt with StarWind Virtual SAN ones.

Thanks, Edwin!

Of course, another great news to share!

Having attended one of our webinars held from March 25th, 2015 to April 16th, 2015, Ryan Stoutenburg happened to become the lucky winner of the Full Conference Pass for MS Ignite 2015!
