Hi,

I'm testing the Starwinds tape redirector software with our HP MSL2024 tape library which has two LTO 5 drives.

When I configure the Starwinds software I can only get the library and one drive to work. How do I configure it so that both tape drives appear?

Thanks,
David

Hello David,

Did you install HP drivers?

Hi Vladislav,

Sorry for the slow reply, New Years and all :)

Yes, I have installed the HP drivers. Perhaps I'm configuring it wrong. If there a specific guide for configuring a Tape Library with multiple drives with the redirector?

Thanks,
David

Hello David,

Please note that according to HP instruction each of the tape drives uses one channel and the cable recommended for use with the Library maps each of the four channels from the HBA to one channel on the drive end.

Could you please make sure that your SAS cables are connected properly?
