Hi Michele,
Could you please tell me if there is any software using the tape drive on the StarWind server itself?
Also, What is the StarWind build number you're running?

Hi Max,
on Starwind software server there is HP tools for tape drive that see autoloader.
From System Center DPM 2012 R2 server i see autoloader and i can start inventory of tape but i can't start any backup.

The versione of Virtual San 8 is 8.0.7354.

Thanks for your help and sorry for my late response.

Bye.

Start with sending us zipped logs on your attempt for backups that end with nothing. Also make sure you've properly configured buffer size on a client as we cannot do this ourselves.

It's these registry entries on the initiator machine
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4d36e97b-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}\0001\Parameters
MaxTransferLength
MaxBurstLength
