Yes, that's exactly the scenario we're targeting. No, you don't need to install any extra tape drivers.

Problem is that I could see some post with some errors after the installation

http://www.starwindsoftware.com/forums/ ... hilit=core

So I'm wondering if my Windows server 2012 hyper-V core edition will be compatible...?

Server is a Fujitsu with an integrated tape library

HP LTO-5 ultirum 3000SAS

Thanks

Hello,

After the installation, I can connect to the server but I cannot see any devices...

Could you please advice? (I've tried both the official and RC version)

Thanks

Hello.
You can install the service part on that machine and manage it from the remote computer.
The procedure is similar to the one in this manual
http://www.starwindsoftware.com/install ... erver-core

The recommendations would be the same as in this post
http://www.starwindsoftware.com/forums/ ... tml#p20378
but you should also check that the tape device drivers (I mean the "native" device drivers, not extra ones) are installed and find the "\\.\Tape%d " device. It should be something like \\.\Tape0, \\.\Tape1 or \\.\Tape2 etc
