I have W2008R2 installed, HyperV running and I have installed a Virtual W2003 Server. I have also installed StarWinds and I have the management console available on the W2003 VM. How do I get the W2003 server to recognise and connect to the external backup drive connected ti the W2008R2 server via a scsi cable? :D

StarWind Management Console can be installed anywhere including local VM but actual StarWind Service must be running directly on a hardware where your tape drive resides, so in your case - Hyper-V "parent partition".
