Hi there,
I have a tape library.
Dell PowerVault 124T autoloader
with an IBM Ultrium III Tape Drive

When i'm trying to export a device if i select export a tape drive it can detect my IBM tape with no problem
But when I try to export a tape with autoloader it can detect my autoloader but then the next screen that ask me to select the tape drive is showing nothing.

I think this is a bug and hopefully you can help resolve the issue.

the issue I'm experiencing is a bit differe then the one described in the post you linked.
But i sill tried to stop the removable storage service with no success.

My issue is that if i try to add the tape by itself the system sees it fine.
When i try to add the auto/loader the system can see the changer/loader but then the next window wont display the tape drive so i can't continue the setup.

So for some reason it can see them separately but not together.

Do you know of any tool that can give me the scsi device path for the changer?
so i can try to enter it in the config manually?

Well, actually the Tape Redirector can do this. Also you are welcomed to download trial of StarWind and try the SPTI feature.

I have looked through the posts and searched the forum. I am having this same behavior, I can add the tape drive inside the library fine. I can see the tape library fine, when I go to add the Tape Library, it blocks me at looking for the tape drive after I selevt the library, whether I have the Tape drive set as a device already or not. I have the latest version of Tape Redirector installed.

What version do you run? I'd suggest support staff to contact you with the test build we had updated recently.

atalbot, I`ve PMed you the link to download the latest version of Tape Redirector. Could you please download, install it and see if it helped to get your issue solved?

since I'm suffering from the exact same problem with my HP SSL1016, would it be possible to get the download Link for the bugfix version or could you at least give me a release date for the next Version?
