We have successdully installed/configured STARWIND VTL in IBM Spectrum Storage (TSM).

Last week we created an IBM Support case and IBM come back with the remark that Starwind VTL is not on the Support VTL List.

We were under the impression that STARWIND VTL was supported with IBM Spectrum Storage.

What are you thoughts on this?

I had discussed this matter internally.
StarWind VTL should work with any backup software. There are users who use TSM, and, VTL works for them.
Given the fact that the VTL should be compatible with any backup software, we do not test VTL specifically with TSM. Still, since the software is not tested, it might throw something unknown, and not reported earlier. That's why StarWind VTL is not listed for TSM.
