Tape Retention in Cloud

I was testing the VTL with Veeam and Backblaze and am wondering how you deal with retention for the virtual tapes in the cloud.

To make it simple lets say you do a full once a month and kick it off backblaze but you only want to a keep a years worth of tapes. Once the tapes are exported and offline to backblaze Veeam can't touch them and I don't see a way to deal with the tapes automatically in the VTL. Any suggestions on how accomplish this?

Thanks

At present, it is not possible to automate deletion of tapes older than one year in CloudVTL.

Too bad, looks like it won't work for my use case then. I can do it, sorta, from the lifecycle controls on backblaze's side but that's a pain to manage and there doesn't seem to be reporting on the lifecycle. Thanks for the free product though! Was neat and worked as advertised, if it meet my use case I would have paid for the support.

Could you put that in as a feature request? I would like the ability to delete/erase/whatever tapes that have been uploaded to the cloud via the VTL. I would also like the ability to schedule this process automatically. Ideally I would like this feature to work with Multiple cloud providers (Backblaze, Azure, Amazon for example). Finally I would like the feature to have some sort of reporting.

I will have additional consultations with the R&D team and hope they will be able to give me more information on whether this is achievable.
