Hi,

I was told by your sales team that I could connect your VTL to Azure blob storage and our cloud providers S3 compatible block storage. I'm not able to find documentation on how to do this.

Thanks.

Hi,

Thanks but that's not what I asked for. I doesn't relate to Azure or S3 compatible storage at all, it's specific to AWS S3.

https://www.starwindsoftware.com/starwi ... pe-library
You website clearly states that the VTL can backup to Azure object storage and the graphic shows that too as well as backing up to on prem object storage but it seems that no one knows how to do this. I have logged a support case and emailed your sales staff too that told me it was possible without a good answer.

Thanks.

Thanks but I no longer need to be contacted regarding this. I wanted those two features and as they're not available although you have advertised them, then I'm no longer interested.

I really feel like I need to jump in here. First of all thank you for your super-dismissive reply! We really appreciate it. Second there are two options to offload VTL images to Azure:

1) Thru the Azure-exported SMB3 file share, so-called Azure Files, see https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/servi ... rage/files for reference

2) Native support thru the BLOB

(1) option is working now, was working at the time you've been applying for demo or whatever you did to get hands over the software and it's not different from placing StarWind VTL images on your local SMB3 file server. Option (2) is currently in beta but we'll release it in a couple of weeks.

Good luck with your challenges and I wish you and your prospects a patience. Lots of it!

Is there an update on this one?

I'm not able to connect to Azure Storage I receive 'Credentials are incorrect. parameters' Was successfully connected with backblaze but due to geographic issues the transfer is way way way to slow.

I have tried different clients, with different storages, I can't get this to work.

Do you have setup documentation? Please no need to send me the documentation here: https://www.veeam.com/blog/archiving-to ... d-vtl.html

The above one is not helpful.

Are you 100% sure the credentials you tried were correct ones? This question may sound a little bit irritating, but we need to make sure.

Hi, I'm trying to configure cloud replication with azure blob storage and I'm getting the "Credentials are incorrect. parameters" error. Has support for blob been added? I'm on version 8.0.0.12767.

Thanks,

Hi verloren22,
Yes, it should work without issues. Please double-check your credentials.

Hi there,

I'm having the same problem, and i'm sure the credentials are correct, as i can connect using the Microsoft azure storage explorer installed on the same machine using the same details?

I'm using version 8.0.0.13279.

Any idea's, has anyone got this working or experienced the same problem and managed to resolve the issue?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers
Paul

Greetings Paul,

Could you kindly provide me with the logs? Here is the article on how to collect the logs: https://knowledgebase.starwindsoftware. ... collector/.

Thanks, I've got the log files output, but it seems to be too big to attached to the reply? Says it's more than 256KB, which it is, as it's 2984KB?

Cheers
Paul
