I'm trying to use VTL on a windows 2003 R2 with backup exec 12.

The device is detected in the hardware as NexiTech VTAng (DLT emul) SCSI Sequential Device.

But no driver can be found for it.
Backup exec detects the device, tries his driver but fails also.

Any details?

Either this one or we ship custom tape driver for Windows. Both ways work just fine.

But it is not included with the starwind 30 days trail?

My DLT solution is a bit slow sometimes and has problems with unload the tape.

1) Check download e-mail you've got. It has multiple links. To 32-bit and 64-bit StarWind versions, 32-bit and 64-bit VSS helper and also to VTL driver installation.

2) Sorry, but I have no idea what's "My DLT solution" is... If it's third-party stuff - please contact it's vendor. If you mean you have problems with OUR VTL implementation - please issue us with LogLevel=3 StarWind log so we could find out what's broken.

Whoops... I've checked and we don't send VTL driver link YET. Sorry for confusion, we'll fix this ASAP (with V4 release).
