How to check the write protect status of a tape modified with WriteProtectTape ?

Try applying the WriteProtected option again. If protected, the operation will fail with the error code 200.

Not very important but I am looking for something without a side effect and that can be used even when the tape is installed.

You can see it in the Management Console (it is still available for monitoring in the Free version).

It might be useful to be able to check this without the console.

Sadly, Management Console is the only way you can meaningfully see it. I have logged the feature request. Many thanks.
