Should we see much of a speed increase going from a thick to a thin disk?

How long until level 2 cache is enabled?

You mean going from FLAT -> LSFS? If yes it depends on the workload. If it's VDI and is dominated by small 4-8KB reads you may get ~10 times better performance.

Not much. Few days. Maybe a week. Need to run tests to make sure there's no data corruption.

It's all terminal servers and file servers.

I haven't been able to create a thin disk yet though to test. hopefully it will work on the next update.

I have similar problem (but slightly different)...
If I create lsfs device on volume > 2TB - i get device with state "Failed!" with log:

Code: Select all

1/13 12:59:30.230 dc4 Sw: *** DDDisk_MountAsync: Create SP object failed, status ( 50 ) - 'General failure'.
But if i create lsfs device on volume < 2TB and expanding volume beyond 2TB after what - device work fine.

Please re-download the beta build, check it and let us know if the issue persists.

I have been able to get around this problem by rebooting. I can create one (1) large thin DD after a fresh reboot, and no more.
