Hello:

Not sure if this should post here or in the main StarWind forum.

For us, the autoupdate check does not work in our environment. None of our servers are directly connected or transparently connected to the internet. As a result, I have to remember to periodically check the site for updates. Here are some suggestions that would make my life easier:

Best: Leverage IE proxy setup. I have no clue how this works, but I am seeing in more and more updaters.

Better: Manual entry of location of autoproxy scripts.

Good: Manual entry of HTTP or SOCKS5 proxies

Less good: RSS or email subscription to notices of updates.

Thank you for any attention you can pay this request.

Hi Joe,

Thanks for your message.

Well, the autoupdate feature is not in the current version so you are in the right place to post :)

Even if the SW servers will not have access to the Web, you can install the SW Mgmt console on your laptop that you will use to manage the software and that will have internet connection, and this shold work for autoupdate in the future.

As for now the only way to check for the updates is to following this topic on our forum, and update the software manually.
