COW - COW Discard

I don't know if this is a bug or not. I create a new Snapshot w/ CDP and i get these options
Whereas if I attache a previously created disk, I get these options:
I see the Copy on Write & Copy on Write - Discard on the existing device. Is this something that should be visible or available in this build? I'm interested in the idea.
Also, I've got more detail, but maybe a little overkill for a forum posting, Is there email address you typically want this stuff sent to? We have a use case for the technology that I would like to share and get some ideas on.
