5.9 Beta / ESXi 5 Connection Issue

Due to the issues I was having with the dedupe lun I posted about earlier, I moved all my vm's off the beta Starwind instance and deleted my luns and targets. I use the GUI to create a new target and virtual disk (not deduped, just a basic lun) and attach a 200GB image file to it. I'm able to connect to the new target in ESXi 5, but I'm unable to see the device under the devices tab when the iscsi hba is selected within the vSphere client. Without seeing the new device, of course I can't create a new datastore using it. Doing a rescan several times doesn't seem to solve anything. I'm able to verify connectivity between ESXi and the beta SAN both via ping and also via the Starwind GUI's iSCSI Sessions tab.

Any ideas why I can't see the device to create a new datastore from it?

Thanks!
Chris

I have additional information to post...

I'm able to create a snapshot/CDP device, attach it to my target and present it to my ESXi hosts. Image file devices don't seem to work however. I tried creating a new image file device after the snapshot/CDP device and it still won't present itself as a device to my host.

Attached please find a snippet of some error messages in my Starwind log file...
