Target list sorting

Postby robnicholson » Tue May 31, 2011 1:46 pm

Bit of a bug here in the display and sorting. First problem is that there doesn't appear to be a way to sort the tree list alphabetically:

See that it goes disk001, disk002, disk005, disk008, disk004. We'd prefer this list to be alphabetical as that's why we've named the disks such.

But there is a slightly more worrying side effect of this. See this screenshot where I have sorted the target list on the right hand side:

Currently disk004 is selected and I'm about to click on disk005 below it on the right. But disk005 doesn't end up getting selected, it selects disk008:

This, as you can appreciate, is a bit dangerous as one could end up carrying out an action on the wrong disk.

Cheers, Rob.

Absolutely right! Opened a set of cases for listed stuff. Thank you for your feedback and making our product better :) We appreciate this. A LOT.

it looks like you are using Management Console of the version 5.6.
We have removed target list from the left pane at all in 5.7. Now it contains only servers and groups of servers/targets.
