oVirt --> VMware

Hello!

Trying to use the V2V tool and have an issue.

From: oVirt 4.3.10.4-1.el7
To: VMWare 6.5 (VCenter is 6.7)

Can log into both oVirt and VMWare no issues. It gets stuck at opening image file. I only see these two below errors.

11/12 11:08:14.652 c0c Facility ???ERROR: WrapperKVM::KVMWrapper::KVMWrapperImpl::AddImageTransfer: Error sending request: * Line 1, Column 2 Syntax error: Malformed token
11/12 11:08:34.668 c0c Facility ???ERROR: WrapperKVM::KVMWrapper::KVMWrapperImpl::AddImageTransfer: Error sending request: 400

Thoughts? Thanks in advance!

Thanks for your update.
Is it possible to convert that VM to OVF for now and import it into ESXi?

I have ten VM's that I'm hoping to use this tool to migrate. All from ovirt to esx.

I'll try the OVF conversion and see the timing.

Is P2V conversion possible, or is converting individual disks for those VMs?

These are Linux machines. Looks like your V2V is limited to Windows for p2v?

HI,

Yes, that's right.
oVirt <-> ESXi conversions are tested during the QA cycle, so it looks like something funny is happening to this specific system. Please see if the older release works https://drive.google.com/file/d/1hDP4gl ... Ea_5p/view.

Thanks for your help on this!

The version you provided does not have oVirt as an option.

Thanks for your update.
Try converting them to qcow2 and create the VM in place.
