I'm trying to convert from a remote Vcenter to a local Hyper-V server. The issue I'm running into is that our storage for the Hyper-V servers is an SMB share. Mapping the shares in the administrator context and running the converter from the same command line still only shows the local disks attached to the server. Is there a command line switch hidden that will allow it to target the SMB shares?

Sadly no.
You can use any backup software that supports instant recovery instead, or arrange downtime per VM.

I had the same problem. How did you solve it?

Try the software that supports instant recovery.
