I have a Linux VM in a VMDK file which I'm trying to upload to a freshly installed Proxmox VE 8.3 server.
I made sure that the vmdk file has no spaces nor non-English characters.
I also tested with and without Defender Firewall on.

After starting the conversion, it immediately says "Conversion cancelled".

Any suggestion on what I can do?

I'm using V2V Converter version 9.0.1.623
Running on Windows 10

Make sure your Proxmox user has enough privileges and try a different Proxmox host if you have a cluster.
You can copy that VMDK straight to Proxmox and create the VM there.
As an alternative, convert the disk alone.

Having the same issue. The Proxmox user we are using is root, so I don't think there is an account with more permissions!

I think the best will be if you stick with one thread.
