Invalid Namespace error hyper-v to ESX

Hi,

I'm trying to perform a hyper-v to esx conversion and getting an 'Invalid namespace (0x8004100e) error when trying to connect to the source Windows server 2012R2 machine using the local administrator account. If I use the wrong password I get an access denied. From event viewer I can see that the account successfully logs in.

I read various threads on this from these forums but none appear to give the answer. I've removed and reinstalled the software and installed the software on a different server but I'm still getting the same error.

host system server 2019
source system 2012 r2
detination esx 7.0.3

v2v converter build 0.0.1.554

Any help would be great.

Thanks,

Could you please provide me with the screenshots inside the 2012R2 or 2016 VM? Try reinstalling the software too, please.
Having the conversion logs will be much appreciated.

Hi,

The software has been reinstalled and it's been installed on an alternate 2012R2 system giving the same error when trying to connect to the source 2012R2 hyper-v .

Thanks again.

Can you please try using IP address and the local administrator credentials without ".\"?

I tried with the ip address and no .\ and get the same invalid namespace error.

Hi,

If you have a Windows defender or firewall running please disable it and try again.
