Post V2V conversion startup issues

First time using V2V. Conversion status said success, same with the log.

Converted Windows 10 VM from ESXI 5.5 to hyper-v Core 2019 but it fails to start immediately with error:

An error occurred while attempting to start the virtual machine(s).
<machine name> failed to change state.

See below for errors from the event viewer.

I tried creating a new vm and attaching the drive to it, it fails in the same manner.

I if I try to inspect or edit the disk I also get the following errors:

Inspect:
An Error occurred when attempting to retrieve the virtual hard disk <path to disk>
on server <servername>
Getting the information for virtual disk <path to disk> failed

Edit:
Unable to edit virtual disk <path to disk>
Getting the information for virtual disk <path to disk> failed


The description for Event ID 12140 from source Microsoft-Windows-Hyper-V-EmulatedStor cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.
