Hello everyone
I am trying to convert a physical win2012 r2 server to vm on a win2022 host hyper-v server
The conversion using , either a) physical machine , or b) physical disk (vhd/vhdx) or c) volume - all of them are completed succesully

But when I am powering on - starting up the vm 2022 on the hyper-v - it does not boot

I get the error - blue screen

"Your PC Ran Into a Problem and Needs to Restart"

I have tried using multiple version of starwind
1st trial was with StarV2V.9.0.1.Setup.268_735.release.auto
2nd trial was with Starv2v9.0.1.413
3rd trial was with StarV2V.9.0.0.Setup.183

it seems that the boot disk is not working
on the vhd or vhdx (i have tried both types of disk files)

any ideas?

Hi George,

Did the server have any specific drivers before its conversion?

Please find attached 2 jpg of the device manager
the server is an old 2013-2014 hpe tower server with two disks in mirror raid

Thanks for your update. Can you please try booting the VM in the safe mode?
Please also try converting an individual volume (e.g., C\) and create a gen1 VM and boot it.
